As an international student from Latin America, I often questioned whether medicine was a path I could successfully pursue, and Dr. Gold approached those doubts with empathy. Dr. Gold was the reason I found out about direct-entry nursing programs for the nurse practitioner pathway. From there she was able to help me with my applications. Being a first-generation college student, my family was not able to help as much as they did not know the process, but Dr. Gold was able to answer my questions and ease my worries. Her encouragement and dedication gave me the confidence to pursue the career of a pediatric nurse practitioner and without her I would never have been able to say that I have been accepted to Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

I was anxious about graduating college, future career paths, finding a job after graduation, and so much more. After just one meeting with Dr. Gold, she immediately eased my mind, helped me create a clear plan, and organized my priorities so I am not focusing on a million things at once. Not only did she help me map out my future, but she also reminded me that there isn't a timeline set in stone. She reassured me that it's okay to move at the pace that's better suited for me. Dr. Gold is not only incredibly educated but also compassionate, understanding, and always willing to listen without judgment. She creates a truly comforting experience that makes you feel heard, supported, and confident in moving forward.
