Hay muchos caminos para llegar a ser profesional de la salud. Encontremos el tuyo.

Independent pre-health advising for students and families in Potomac, Bethesda, and the greater Washington DC area, led by a former university Pre-Health Program Director. Advising offered in English and Spanish.

Why Capital Pre-Health

Advising built on experience with students who don't all start from the same place.

Institutional insight

Dr. Gold directed a university pre-health program and its committee letter process. She's read the files, run the interviews, and written the letters that admissions committees actually rely on.

A local practice

No dedicated pre-health advisor serves the Potomac to Frederick corridor. National consultancies are call centers by comparison. This practice is in your community.

Bilingual advising

Dr. Gold is a native Spanish speaker. Every service, from the first consultation through the final review, is available fully in English or Spanish.

Many Pathways

Medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, and more — many pathways, one practice.

Many healthcare pathways

There's more to healthcare than medical school. Dr. Gold will help you match your skills and passions to one of many healthcare pathways: medicine, dentistry, PA, PT, nursing, OT, and more.

What students say

As an international student from Latin America, I often questioned whether medicine was a path I could successfully pursue, and Dr. Gold approached those doubts with empathy. Her supportive and assertive approach to mentorship helped me build confidence in myself while challenging me to recognize my own potential… I am incredibly grateful for her guidance, which played an instrumental role in earning me an acceptance to the Class of 2031 at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Accepted — New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, Class of 2031

Dr. Gold was the reason I found out about direct-entry nursing programs for the nurse practitioner pathway. From there she was able to help me with my applications. Being a first-generation college student, my family was not able to help as much as they did not know the process, but Dr. Gold was able to answer my questions and ease my worries. Her encouragement and dedication gave me the confidence to pursue the career of a pediatric nurse practitioner and without her I would never have been able to say that I have been accepted to Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.

Accepted — MGH Institute of Health Professions, direct-entry nursing

I was anxious about graduating college, future career paths, finding a job after graduation, and so much more. After just one meeting with Dr. Gold, she immediately eased my mind, helped me create a clear plan, and organized my priorities so I am not focusing on a million things at once. Not only did she help me map out my future, but she also reminded me that there isn't a timeline set in stone. She reassured me that it's okay to move at the pace that's better suited for me. Dr. Gold is not only incredibly educated but also compassionate, understanding, and always willing to listen without judgment. She creates a truly comforting experience that makes you feel heard, supported, and confident in moving forward.
